Back to School Subjects
Back to school after a break. Interesting conversations with Students and their Parents. At times I am amazed at the clarity of the 9th graders in terms of what they want to become. I am happy to meet the confused eyes as well, who are not clear what they want to pursue in higher education and there were many who said, 'I do not like any subject'. Long story short - Science and Tech dominates, then comes Commerce and Business studies and then the Social Sciences and Humanities. ___________ 🧑🏻🔬Science and Tech 📈Commerce and Business Studies 👥Social Science and Humanities ___________ If we stack up and integrate, it does not look too bad: Your Scientific solutions must be commercially viable but then your solution must be grounded in the principles of Social Sciences and Humanities. That's the Higher education that we must aspire for, and not an artificial separation and hierarchy amongst subjects and disciplines.
